Adding modal class removes other classes

Small issue:

Adding a modal class to an image to auto-convert it to modal, eg:
docs4.regularlabs.com/modals/going-further/auto-convert#images

<img src="/images/fruit/bananas.jpg" class="modal my-custom-class" width="100" height="100" />

Does convert the image to modal, but removes 'my-custom-class' from the class as well.
