"zoom in" into an opened modal with pictures (J4 beta)

Dirk67's Avatar Dirk67
just a question whether this would be possible in J4 :

with the current J3 modals version it is possible to 'zoom in' (with the browser) into an opened modal* with a picture in it,
and since the picture in the opened modal is the original picture with its full native resolution,
you get the effect that it appears that you can zoom into the picture* to recognize some fine details,
especially on mobile devices and/or with touchscreens this is very comfortable because you can zoom into the full-res picture and move around within the picture -> all with two fingers ...

*(in fact you zoom in and out the whole webpage)

with the J4 modals version the zoom is blocked as soon as the modal is opened,
is this 'wanted' / by design (maybe for good reasons) ?
or would it be possible to achieve the same behavior as with the J3 Version
(at least for modals with pictures in it)

I am not sure why the pinch zoom is not working... will look deeper into this.

does not work (v12.0.0-dev2534353),
on (real) mobile devices the modal opens bigger than the screen (bigger than the whole website canvas)

[edit]
# somehow it seems that this issue mentioned above happens in article view only and not on the joomla homepage (?)
# in general the "klick to close outside the modal" is broken again (but only on mobile devices)

again: please test the dev versions by yourself before publishing it...

single article view: (on mobile devices: the modal opens bigger than the screen (bigger than the whole website canvas))
That is because you have some code there forcing a horizontal scrollbar on that page. The modal/overlay takes up the full width of the page. I'll see if I can fix that, so it disables the overflow of the website itself.

OK,
where does that come from -> this is the joomla default template

aah, I see there's something within the article text
{pdf-viewer ../../joomla/images/dokumente/Theatergruppe_Wechold_2022_Flyer.pdf}
that is wider than the screen
I'll see if I can fix that, so it disables the overflow of the website itself.
that would be nice,
cause sometimes this can happen accidentally in the Joomla Editor
but would be also OK if it can not be fixed.
