I want to use the free modules in Joomla 4. I am being asked to enter a Download Key for the pro versions that I am not using. But without Download Key I can't open the Regular Labs - Extension Manager. Am I doing something wrong or do you have to buy a paid module?

The Regular Labs Extension Manager should open and work fine without the Download Key. It will just not give you access to the Pro versions.

I can of course not see what you see in the administrator area without having login credentials.

The 'connection issue' message has nothing to do with the Download Key not being entered.
Your site can for some reason not connect to my server (download.regularlabs.com).
This could be caused by firewall rules in Admin Tools or something on your server (host).
