Update of Advanced Module Manager failed

Update of Advanced Module manager got the following response:
However, when I check for updates again, the update is no longer required, suggesting it was marked as 'successful'.

This then generates an error when I go to the home page ( wftest.uk/ )

I've rolled this back on my live server, so we can hack around with this server to our hearts content.

Failed again. Same result.

Sure. SuperUser access is all ready for you. I wont be able to setup SFTP access as its AWS, but Im sure we can work around that.
