Conditional content: device condition not working

Claudio Romeo's Avatar Claudio Romeo
It now appears that the DEVICE condition no longer works.
The content is not inserted, only the syntax. If I enter the syntax by hand with the content, it is not interpreted.
For example:
{show devices="mobile"}Cellulare{show-else}Desktop{/show}
what I see in the front-end with my smartphone is Desktop.
If the sintax is
{show devices="mobile"}Cellulare{/show}
whit no other conditions, I see Cellulare from my desktop PC as well.
How can I fix this?

Hi Peter,
i also have issues with the new 5.0.5 version of Conditional content: my only condition is a for a module to show up on german and english homepage.

Now it is ether on all or no page at all.
5.0.6 breaks the site complete.
Kind regards
Martin

I installed the development version.
The site is no longer available:
0 - RegularLabs\Component\Conditions\Administrator\Helper\Cache::useFiles(): Return value must be of type RegularLabs\Component\Conditions\Administrator\Helper\Cache, none returned

unfortunately it does not solve the issue for my conditional problem

(but the Cache Cleaner can be installed without problems and the page works fine)

Can you give me (super) admin and (s)ftp access so I can take a look?
And tell me on what url I can see/reproduce the issue.

The module should only be visible on the homepage but is shown on every page.

With regard to my problem, it is fixed now.
Thank you.

@Martin You are talking about Advanced Module Manager, not Conditional Content.
It is probably down to your template. If you can reproduce with the core Joomla template, let me know.
Otherwise: I don't provide support on the Free version unless it is an actual bug/error.

Hi Peter,
after further investigation i found that the behavior i described relays to your Free Advanced Module Manager and a condition set in there. I tried and disabled the plugin nad used the core option to show my module only ion two menu items. That worked absolutely fine. Then i reactivated the Advanced Module Manager, deleted the condition and created a new one selecting only the two menu items. But the module shows up on all pages again.
So it seems to be a problem with the module manger. :-/
i kept the adv mod manager disabled; if you want to take a closer look, let me know.
(i saw that you created a test-module for a template position that is not enabled/does not exist; so as far as i can see its not a template problem)
