Last update of Rereplacer 12.6.7 breaks the site

Hi Peter,

Since this update my website is broken I was mainly using this in order to replace some punctuation :;!? by the same preceding by a  .

I think the problem comes from this replacement: ! to &bsp;! that makes the following error:

I can see some comments < !-- Start RR comp .It seems that even if the replacement is set to NO in enable in html tags that it continues to modify it

And from this one: ; to  ; that breaks the entities

Previously, replacements containing just 1 or 2 characters in the search would not work at all.
Now they do. So that is what is causing things to be different now.

Replacing single characters like that is pretty dangerous, as these can be in all sorts of places, like comments. But also inline scripts.

I recommend you make your replacement smarter through Regular Expressions.

Thanks for this answer. I will try to do it with RegEx.

But wit Enable in HTML tags set to NO the remarks should not be changed normally?
