Custom fields not showing when article is placed in Akeeba Tickets

John Juhl's Avatar John Juhl
Hi guys,

I have a problem with Joomla Custom Fields showing "tags" instead of "value", when I place an article in an Akeeba Ticket using "Articles Anywhere".

Pls. see this short explainer video.

Thanks, John.

Same answer as on your other question about this.

This is down to the Joomla Fields content plugin. Not Articles Anywhere.

Use the Articles Anywhere tags to output fields.

Okay - perhaps I'm stupid - but I simply don't get it 🙂

Anyway - the problem is in fact more down to filtering for me, so I'm trying another way around it, that seems to work - by using the "Author filtering" instead:

The filtering works (the User is set to be Author in 2 articles - but I can't get the output right:

The Tags:
<p>I'M TESTING</p>
<p>{articles category="HOTLINE SESSIONS" created_by="user:id"}</p>
<p>[title]</p>
<p>[link][title][/link]</p>
<p>{/articles}</p>

The Output:
I'M TESTING
[title]
[link] [title] [/link]
[title]
[link] [title] [/link]

What is wrong with this?

Thanks for taking time for this on a Saturday, by the way

Did you change the Data Tag Characters setting in the Articles Anywhere system plugin settings?

Use the editor button to generate working code.

No, I haven't changed any settings - but will try the editor button right away 🙂

Perfect.

I can tell that there is a difference in the type of "parenthesis" from the one I copied from the Documentation, versus what
is generated via the button

Great, Thanks.

Probably remnants of settings from a very early install of Articles Anywhere.
You can change the "parenthesis" (= Data Tag Characters) in the Articles Anywhere system plugin settings.

See the documentation for all settings and functionalities.
