Is it possible to disable the display of the "tags" within the articles anywhere brackets and still have it filter the tagged articles?
I've got the articles with the custom fields pulled over and the page is rendered.

I do not understand your question...
What do you mean with "tags"?
The filters you define in the {articles} tag are separate from the data tags you place between them.
So if you do not want to output the tags, don't add the [tags] data tag.

The articles are tagged "Players". Is it possible; so, the "TAGS" would not be displayed on the page?
