Hi

I have installed the extension on my website tonight.

For selected user set IP login info ...
IP Address (tried both 94.193.xxx.xxx and 2a02:c7f:7022:xxx:xxx:xxx formats)
Secret URL key "ph123"

When I then go to browser and type in URL?ph123 I am not automatically logged in to the website.

Any ideas?

Thanks
Peter

IP ranges are only supported in the Pro version:
www.regularlabs.com/extensions/iplogin#ip-ranges

IPv16 addresses are not supported.

Hi Peter

Thanks for prompt reply. I was only using single IP address (94.193.xxx.xxx) and still get same issue where user not automatically logged on.

Is there anything else I might be doing wrong?

Thanks
Peter

When you go to the IP Login tab in the user settings, you can see your current IP address. Does that match what you entered in the field?
I take it you did not actually enter the x's in the field...

The current IP address shows the "2a02:c7f:7022:xxx:xxx:xxx" format

Have masked real string with x's in the forum post only.

Used What's my IP to get other format address.

So you have an IPv16 address. IP Login does not support that.

Ah Ok, was trying to run a test at home. Hopefully my customer (university) will use IP addresses in older format.

Do you have plans to release a version that does support IPv16 addresses?

There are no immediate plans for that at the moment.

recently the same problem with the login at the ip. could there be a problem caused by the fact that I started to use the new ( advanced.name ) proxy service provider?

Could be. See what IP address you see in the IP Login tab in the user edit page:
