Html tags stripped of whitespaces

Hi, just had the weirdest issue on some of our sites:

Situation:
We had these extensions installed (pro versions):
- Ext Manager
- Adv. Module Manager
- Cache Cleaner
- Mail Protector

We also have these sites configured in myjoomla to be autoupdated.
Today, several of the sites broke, having the output html stripped in a weird way. Basically, every tag was stripped of internal whitespaces:

<div class="" data-stuff> became <divclass="" data-stuff>

Reupdating the extensions from the backend fixed it.

The only 2 causes i can think of for this behaviour are:
- one of the intermediate versions that got autoupdated had this issue, that was fixed with the last update
- our pro subscription expired in this period, so myjoomla tried to update with a (free?) version of the pro extension which maybe have caused this wreckage

Thansks!

That indeed sounds like an update just went haywire. Maybe some error occurred during the update, causing it to fail.

Seeing the issue is now gone after re-installing the extensions, I can't really bugfix this.

Yeah, just wanted to give you an heads up to maybe check what happens if you install a free version onto a pro one, just to be sure that this doesn't happen again 😉

You can't install a free version on top of a pro version. You would have to uninstall the pro first.
