Hi Peter,

With Articles anywhere, it is possible to *filter* by Custom Field, but not to order.

One can indeed *order* by Title, ID, Date etc. Example :
{articles category="12" ordering="title DESC"}...{/articles}

But is it possible to also order by some Custom Field ?
(I have tested in case it would have been there but undocumented. But it generates an error. So you might consider my question as a feature suggestion 😁

No, not possible to order by custom field values.

OK, not possible.
But would you be able to integrate that in a next release ? 🙂

No, probably not. This would make the database queries too complicated, slow and unworkable.

Hi Peter
Is this still the case? Would be nice to order by custom calendar field. No problem if not though 🙂

Well, Ordering by Custom Fields has now been implemented! It's currently available in the development version.

Please test the latest development version from:
www.regularlabs.com/development-releases

Let us know if it works as expected 🙂

Excellent news !
Txs very much.
I think I'll use this for joomladay.fr 😉
(but not time to test before several days though)
