Hi Peter

I'm trying to use the "browser" option in assignment in both AMM and previously Conditional Content but neither seem to work. I'm basically trying to hide one module and show another if the browser is IE, however the module doens't show up in any browser.

Any suggestions for things to me to try?

Do you have any other assignments switched on?

Nope, kept it to that just to be sure

Working fine on my tests.

Are any of the assignments (apart from the Menu assignments) working ok?

Yeah they all seem to be working okay. Also when i tested adding in ALL CHROME to the browser list the module shows up (in Chrome) as I'd expect.

If you look at www.accommtec.com/hotels as an example, there should be a small strip at the bottom of the page showing the word "test" if the module is being displayed properly but i'm not seeing it.

Can you give me (super) admin access so I can take a look?
You can use the 'Hidden text' button in the forum editor to hide the confidential information.

If it helps then via the contact form we capture agent details on the users and this is what a test I just ran in my copy of IE produced:

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; WOW64; Trident/7.0; Touch; .NET4.0C; .NET4.0E; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.0.30729; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; Tablet PC 2.0; rv:11.0) like Gecko

Which implies that IE11 reports itself as Mozilla (Firefox?) rather than IE.

Please try the latest development version from:

Hi Peter

Grabbed it now and can confirm that is working for AMM, so that's great, thanks. Will presume a similar fix for the detection in Conditional Content but I'll stick to using AMM for selection just now in this case.

This will also fix it in Conditional Content if installed on the same server, as it is a fix in the Regular Labs Library.

But you can also grab the dev version of Conditional Content:

Ah, I did wonder if that was the case but didn't want to presume, thanks Peter!
