Advanced Module Manager

Menu Assignment tree not showing after update

After updating to the latest version of advanced module manager, the selection tree for the menu assignment is not showing and shows a text field box with a spinning wheel. Same for the Regular Labs extension manager.

Any ideas why this is occurring?

Make sure you have the Joomla core Ajax extension enabled.
That may not be installed correctly due to updating Joomla. Check the Extensions > Manage > Discover page

It shows to be enabled and working properly. Nothing shows in the discover page. Was working fine before most recent update. Also tried installing development version on a test site and same behavior.

Are you running on the latest version of Joomla?
If so: can you give me (super) admin access so I can take a look?
You can use the 'Hidden text' button in the forum editor to hide the confidential information.

We aren't running the latest Joomla Version at the moment due to incompatibility with a few components. Debugging on a test site until it's safe to upgrade.

We are currently running 3.6.3. Again, worked before the upgrade, so maybe it's a Joomla version issue?

You'll have to uninstall the Regular LabsLibrary plugin and downgrade to an earlier version.

Minimum requirements have been upped to Joomla 3.7.0.

There is no good reason to not upgrade to Joomla 3.8.
I can offer no support for outdated setups.

I have updated Joomla to 3.8 and most everything seems to be working now.

HOWEVER, one of the tabs in the module edit window shows 'COM_ADVANCEDMODULES_HTML_HEADER_FIELDSET_LABEL' ? Not a big issue as probably just something messed up with the language file.

Advanced Module Manager uses ajax to dynamically load in the select lists. For this it uses base64 encoded url attributes.
Something on your server is blocking that.

I have replaced the base64 encoding with gzip encoding, which seems to work ok on your server.

It is fixed on your setup and in latest development release on:

Now Menu assignment not works, not showing the menu item.

Yes, I see, it is still blocking some of the ajax calls.

You will have to ask your host about this. There is probably some security module throwing false positives.
Or some throttling going on.

I installed the site locally and on another Host but it does not work.
Please, I need to fix this issue.

Thanks

See if you can reproduce the issue on a clean Joomla installation with no other 3rd party extensions installed.

the problem seems due to the high number of menu items.
How can I solve? increasing the time on php ?

Advanced Module Manager will switch to a simple textarea field if there are too many.
You can change this max in the Regular Labs Library plugin.

But if you see no field at all, then something is interfering.
Again, might be server throttling or some other extension getting in the way and causing timeouts or something.
